Computerised TSTM Series for automated torque-angle testing of torsion springs and specimens in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions — tabletop (20 N·m) and floor-standing (200 N·m) models.

TSTM Series
The AGMPL TSTM Series are fully computerised, motorised torsion testing machines designed to automate, simplify, and standardise the testing of torsion springs and other specimens in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions.
Electronic torque transducers measure torque precisely while optical encoders track angle of rotation. The included atTEST PC software handles the complete test sequence — load a specimen, press Start, and the machine tests automatically without any human intervention.

Standard Equipment
Load specimen, press START — the machine tests as per pre-programmed parameters completely automatically without any human intervention.
Full bi-directional capability — test torsion springs in clockwise or counterclockwise direction up to 720° without re-rigging.
Each model offers two transducer capacities — select the lower range for higher resolution on small springs, or full capacity for larger specimens.
Live graph displayed on screen during the test for immediate visual feedback and quality assessment.
Overlay a master curve in a contrasting colour for instant pass/fail quality comparison during production testing.
Robust front-panel push-button control with USB PC link for computerised operation via atTEST application software.
Spring adaptors on head stock and tail stock with guided slide for quick and secure mounting of different spring types.
Servo motor drive and optical encoder angle measurement ensure consistent, repeatable torque-angle characteristics test after test.
Included Software
Every TSTM machine ships with the atTEST PC application — purpose-built software for computerised torsion spring testing. Load a specimen, press Start, and atTEST handles the entire test sequence automatically, recording data and generating a report without further operator input.
The reference curve feature lets quality engineers store a master spring characteristic and instantly compare every production spring against it on-screen — making pass/fail decisions faster and more consistent.

Optional
Grips are supplied as matched pairs — one for the fixed head, one for the rotating head. Standard mounting plates and spring pins are included with every machine.
For round-section spring wire ends — precise coaxial grip.
Versatile small-diameter gripping for thin torsion spring legs.
Quick-change chuck for a wide range of spring leg diameters.
Flat plates with spring-holding adaptors and loading pins — standard accessory supplied with each machine.
Self-centring chuck for larger round specimens.
Specially designed and manufactured grips for complex or non-standard spring geometries — available on request.
