Overview

A spring is regarded as durable if it does not lose force or shorten under repeated loading before a pre-specified number of cycles. Spring fatigue is a critical property — the associated risk depends on the designed stress level and manufacturing process quality.

AGMPL FTM Series machines allow the study of stress levels under continuously applied loading and unloading cycles. Peak force data from each cycle helps identify failure phases, enabling designers to improve spring design, materials, heat treatment, and finishing.

Fatigue Phase Detection

Peak force is measured every cycle. Crack initiation, crack propagation, and catastrophic failure are each identifiable from the force history — giving you actionable insight into spring quality.

Motor-Cam Drive System

25 hp motor with 1:5 gearbox and Variable Frequency Drive delivers precise, stable cycle speeds up to 4 Hz across the full stroke range.

Dual Pre-load Modes

Apply pre-load in terms of compressive force or displacement — whichever suits your test standard — via a motorised cross-head with draw-wire encoder feedback.

Dual-Spring Testing

Test one or two identical springs simultaneously on the same moving table. Comparative data from two specimens in a single run saves time and increases confidence.

LVDT Stroke Measurement

A precision LVDT with 120 mm full-stroke range and 0.1 mm resolution tracks the actual fatigue displacement cycle-by-cycle, independent of mechanical wear.

Auto Failure Detection

A sudden drop in peak force automatically triggers test stop and records the exact failure cycle count — no operator intervention required.
