Overview

Every completed wire harness must be verified for electrical integrity before it leaves the production line. A single open circuit, short, or insulation failure that escapes to vehicle assembly can trigger recall costs that dwarf the entire harness program value.

AGMPL's HCT Series performs continuity, insulation resistance (IR), and high-potential (HiPot) dielectric withstand testing in a single automated cycle — connected through connector-specific adaptor fixtures so any operator can test any harness consistently in 3 to 15 seconds.

Continuity, short circuit, insulation resistance, and HiPot testing are executed sequentially without manual switching — the operator plugs in the harness and presses start.

Connector-Specific Adaptor Fixtures

Adaptor boards replicate the exact connector mating geometry; operators connect and disconnect without skill dependency, reducing test time and handling damage.

Full-Matrix Continuity Check

A 512-point continuity matrix completes in under 10 seconds — every circuit pair is checked, catching open wires, broken conductors, cross-pins, and missing terminals.

Programmable HiPot with Ramp Control

AC and DC high-voltage testing up to 5 kV with configurable voltage ramp rate prevents capacitive-discharge false trips on long automotive harnesses.

Part Traceability Integration

Barcode or QR scanner input links every test result to a part serial number; full test records stored internally and exportable for warranty claims and quality audits.

GO/NO-GO Output with MES Integration

24 V DC digital output controls the conveyor interlock to prevent failed harnesses advancing; Ethernet/OPC-UA data feed supplies the plant MES with real-time pass rates and defect codes.
