Product Overview
The AGMPL Hydraulic Parachute Packing Press delivers controlled, repeatable compression force across the full range of military parachute containers — ensuring that every packed canopy meets the precise density and geometry required for reliable, on-time deployment in operational conditions.
Built to a DRDO–ADRDE tender specification and independently validated by the ADRDE Technical Evaluation Committee, the machine combines a heavy-duty four-pillar SS304 frame with Parker/Rexroth hydraulics, a dual-mode closed-loop actuator, and a fully computerised HMI — producing auditable packing records on every cycle.

Engineering Highlights
Switch between closed-loop pressure-control mode and displacement-control mode from the HMI. Each mode sustains the set condition for up to 10 hours — essential for parachute compaction soak cycles that must hold a defined density without operator supervision.
Hollow-section stainless steel pillars provide structural rigidity equivalent to solid stock at a fraction of the weight. FEA-validated frame design ensures parallelism of the pressing platen is maintained across the full 10-ton load range.
Four disc diameters — 250 mm, 350 mm, 500 mm, and 750 mm — with a threaded ram interface for tool-free changeover. Covers personnel parachute containers through to large cargo-canopy packs without separate tooling fixtures.
7-inch 1920 × 1080 capacitive panel provides clear visibility in hangar lighting. Operators set force, displacement, and dwell time, then save the force–time graph and compliance report directly to a connected PC or print via the supplied laser colour printer.
Digital pressure gauge with NABL-traceable calibration certificate ensures measurement traceability back to national standards — a mandatory requirement for parachute packing records held at ADRDE, DRDO, and armed forces QA departments.
Integrated spotlight provision illuminates the pressing zone, reducing operator error during parachute canopy placement and container loading — critical where fabric orientation errors can compromise deployment reliability.
Use Cases
Engineered to handle every major parachute system type used in Indian and international defence operations.
Compaction and container packing of round-canopy parachutes (T-10, T-11, MC-6 class) and ram-air free-fall systems. Covers both main and reserve canopies across mass-assault and SOF configurations.
High-force pressing for large-diameter cargo canopies (G-12 class and above) used in aerial delivery of military supplies, vehicles, and ammunition to forward-operating areas.
Precision packing of ejection seat main parachutes, stabilising drogues, and headbox auxiliary parachutes for combat aircraft. Interchangeable small-diameter discs accommodate the compact containers of drogue systems.
Suitable for compaction of drogue and main parachutes used in space capsule and UAV recovery applications — where controlled pack density directly determines opening reliability and landing accuracy.
Why Choose Us
This machine was designed and delivered in direct response to a tender from ADRDE (Aerial Delivery Research & Development Establishment), Agra — a premier DRDO laboratory responsible for all Indian military aerial delivery and parachute R&D.
Every specification — frame material, hydraulic components, HMI resolution, force accuracy, actuator control modes, and safety provisions — was independently assessed and confirmed compliant by ADRDE's Technical Evaluation Committee.
Force measurement is backed by NABL-calibrated instrumentation, ensuring packing records are traceable to national metrology standards — a non-negotiable requirement for defence QA documentation and parachute airworthiness records.
AGMPL handles foundation preparation, on-site installation, commissioning, and operator training for a minimum of five personnel — delivering a fully operational machine, not just a shipped product.
Post-Supply Support
Comprehensive warranty covering all mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic components — with on-site support as required.
Structured AMC packages available for years 2–4, covering preventive maintenance schedules, hydraulic fluid analysis, and HMI software updates.
Free training for up to five personnel covering machine operation, routine maintenance, general troubleshooting, and data reporting workflows.
Periodic NABL-traceable recalibration of force measurement systems to maintain compliance with defence QA and parachute airworthiness standards.
Machine-specific spare parts kits with minimum two sources of supply (MRLS). Full manuals supplied in hard and soft copy: operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, electrical schematics.
