Overview
This specialised equipment is engineered for mission-critical aerospace applications and is supplied exclusively to the Indian Air Force and authorised defence organisations within India. Due to national security protocols and export-control regulations, detailed specifications, drawings, and performance parameters are not published online.
The system is designed for high-precision measurement, rugged field reliability, and long-term deployment in demanding operational environments. It supports essential ground-based and airborne testing workflows where accuracy, stability, and compliance with defence standards are mandatory.
Testing Capabilities
Aero engine blade vibration testing is a foundational discipline in aircraft engine maintenance and structural health monitoring. Turbine and compressor blades are subjected to extreme cyclic loading during operation, and their resonant frequencies are highly sensitive indicators of structural integrity. Blade vibration testing quantifies the natural frequencies, mode shapes, and damping characteristics of individual blades — data that is used for acceptance testing of new engines, periodic inspection of in-service engines, and investigation of anomalous vibration signatures detected during operation.
For the Indian Air Force, blade vibration testing is performed at overhaul bases and engine test facilities as part of scheduled maintenance cycles and post-repair validation. The tests provide critical go/no-go data before engines are returned to flight service. Modern blade vibration test systems must achieve high frequency resolution with minimal setup time to meet the throughput demands of Air Force maintenance schedules.
AG Measurematics' systems deliver precision blade vibration measurement with the ruggedisation, calibration traceability, and configuration flexibility required for IAF operational environments. Systems are configurable for a range of blade geometries, engine types, and excitation methods to match specific IAF operational requirements.
Operational Domain
All configurations are engineered to meet stringent defence-grade requirements and can be customised for specific IAF operational needs.
