The AGMPL M-74-SIF-a is a portable digital peak force gauge designed specifically for measuring the impact force of pneumatic and manual tackers, staplers, and spring-loaded impact tools used in upholstery, furniture, packaging, and general assembly manufacturing.
Standard force gauges cannot capture tacker impact events — the strike lasts less than one millisecond and peak forces are missed entirely. The M-74-SIF-a solves this with a 10 kHz piezoelectric transducer and dedicated peak hold circuit, ensuring every peak is reliably captured and held for readout or PC logging.

Why M-74-SIF-a
The peak hold function latches the maximum impact force reading from the high-speed 10 kHz sampling cycle — ensuring the true peak of each tacker strike is always captured, even for sub-millisecond impact events.
At 10,000 samples per second, the M-74-SIF-a resolves rapid impact events from both pneumatic and manual tackers with sub-millisecond resolution — far beyond what standard force gauges can achieve.
The built-in piezoelectric transducer is optimised for dynamic, high-speed impact forces — providing stable, drift-free readings for the rapid impact pulses generated by tackers, staplers, and nail guns.
Transmit live peak readings to a PC via USB or RS-232 for automated QC data logging, SPC analysis, or integration into production-line test stations. Compatible with standard terminal software and AGMPL's companion logging application.
At 150 × 80 × 35 mm and battery-powered for up to 8 hours, the M-74-SIF-a is designed for production-floor and field use — no mains supply required. Supplied with a rugged carrying case.
Configurable peak hold reset modes allow the unit to be used in continuous production-line monitoring (auto-reset after each cycle) or manual inspection workflows (operator resets between readings).
